Let's go back to the beginnings of Lola Games. How long have you been on the market? What led you to seek your fortune in the sex toy market? What did you want to bring new to the market?
We started to develop our brand with the desire to make sexual wellness products a part of lifestyle. It is important for us that they not only satisfy physiological needs, but help people to love and accept their bodies and help people to live in harmony with themselves. Of course, a significant role for us is also played by the fact that toys are made of high-quality and safe materials.
At that time, there was a clear shortage of such products on the market, many toys repeated stereotypical cliches in the form of large dildos made of smelly materials. We started working on the creation of the brand in 2015 and for us, as a young brand, it was not an easy path. The development of the first collections was a challenge: with few resources, we delved into market analysis in order to select such toys for the first collections that can make the lives of Lola Games' customers better and happier. 3 years later, after a long and careful selection of production sites in China, we were able to release our first lines to the European market.
What philosophy do you follow with your activities?
Our philosophy is a constant movement towards the best. The more fun and less pollution, the healthier and happier our life will be.
In a press release you said that your expertise is based on three components: 'knowledge of sexology, sales analysis and the focus group feedback'. Can you explain that in more detail?
The team of brand managers who work on the creation of the brand has a sexological education. Knowledge of problems helps us to choose the direction and ways to solve these problems.
Our task is to produce commercially successful products that will sell well in stores. Therefore, we are constantly working on our assortment matrix. Analyzing the data received from sales, we adjust our course, constantly improving products.
The focus group is an important and integral part of the work on the release of new products. Each of our them, before putting on sale, is tested by our focus group. This gives us the opportunity to refine the toy and place on the market a product that meets the needs of consumers.
Your product portfolio is very diverse. Can you nevertheless give some brief info about your different collections?
People's sexual needs are very different and the means for their realization should also be different. That is why we have such a diverse assortment.
For example, we wanted to make a product that would remove the taboo from masturbation, a truly wonderful process that gives us joy. So, we’ve released Marshmallow - a collection of unrealistic masturbators for men. When creating new products, we are inspired by people and the wonderful diverse world around us. We are guided by the understanding of how diverse the anatomical features of bodies can be, on the one hand, and take into account the emotional side of the presentation of goods on the other hand. Thus, we try to make our products embody people's desires and make them satisfied.

Environmental friendliness is one of those issues that is always on the agenda when developing new products. We are constantly thinking about what we can do to preserve our nature.
We have decided to abandon plastic in the packaging of products. The new lines go in cardboard boxes, and the products are packed in textile bags instead of plastic. In this way, we also solve the issue of storing toys.
We produce our products from safe materials, always paying great attention to the quality of the raw materials used.
Now we are actively working on the possibility of recycling of used toys. As well as expanding the use of recycled materials in our products.
Who is your target audience? For whom do you create sex toys?
Our audience is people who are interested in sex regardless of gender, age, presence or absence of a partner.
They may have different experiences, their wishes may change. And our task is to provide high-quality products that allow them to fulfill their requests.
What do your customers expect from your products? How difficult is it to meet these demands over and over again?
People expect new sensations. They want to have fun, try new things, without spending a lot of money on it. Our customers expect quality from us at an affordable price. And with our products we try to meet their expectations.
We are glad that more and more people are discovering sexual wellness products. And we believe that in the future our goods will be firmly included in the number of essential goods.
The market for sex toys has changed a lot due to the Corona pandemic. The interest in sex toys and the acceptance of these products have increased enormously. Could Lola Games benefit from this development? Have your business model, product development, clientele, etc. changed in the last two years?
The coronavirus and restrictions on movement forced us to reconsider the scheme of work on new products. We have found new solutions, expanded the number of team members in China, which allow us to control the quality of products and work on creating new toys.
Which distribution channels do you rely on to market your products?
At the moment we are focused on the development and introduction of new products to the market. And we are glad to cooperate with Intimate distribution company, which is engaged in the distribution of our products in Europe.
How do you support your trade partners? Are there any promotional materials for the point of sale? Product training for retailers and distributors?
